Default How a Panerai is made

The Discovery Channel did a feature on how luxury watches are made, they used Panerai for this bit.

Pretty cool to see the milling and assembly process of a luxury time piece.

Lots of cool machinery being used.

Missing lots of things. I'd like to see how the main springs and gears are made, too. I guess there's only so much you can show in 10 minutes.

"How it's made" was one of my favorite shows when I had dish, now I'm missin' it.

"How It's Made" is a cool show. Love seeing how everyday things are made, some things amaze me at how much design and effort go in to making a very simple item.

Har, Har!!

Actually, I always liked seeing what measuring equipment is being used, as I deal with it. Unfortunately, for me anyway, it looks like Paneral is using the latest CMM equipment, I've never seen it used. Looks like it's using fiber optics for the probe, that's new to me.

Grady, pretty interesting, even if I came across the info a bit later. That show is so interesting to me! But to show such a beautifully precision instrument (not including some portions obviously) being made is great! Not sure if you or who actually submitted this, but thanks if you did!
