Tudor Watches The "other" one. More bang for the buck and way harder to find. Rabid loyalty from their fans.

Question How do Tudor's stack up against Rolex's?

How do Tudor's stack up against Rolex's price wise?

Do they hold their value as good?

Do they suffer the annual price increase as does Rolex?

Much cheaper but not cheap. The chrono's have held their prices very nicely.

How much is "much cheeper?".. I would also imagine that they carry some sort of premium since they are not readily available in the US?

I forget the exact price but the Chrono is more than half less than the Daytona. It wasn't too long ago that one could by a used Chrono for maybe $1500 but those days are long gone.

Oh wow, that is a pretty attractive price point. I guess finding one is the challenge these days. I have yet to see one in my travels.

I know two guys who have Tudor Chrono's. One is a pre tiger, they guy just had it serviced by Rolex and put it away in his safe. The other guy has a Tiger Chrono on a strap that was given to him by Tiger Woods.

They are very, very nice watches. They come in many different combos. Rolex does plan to bring Tudor back to the USA, "in due time."

I think that they will sell like hot cakes, could be why they no longer sell in the US.

Sounds pretty exclusive. Looking forward to the day when I can encounter one in the flesh.

Hopefully we see them soon. I think it would help to further stimulate the watch industry in USA.

Alcan (Al) sent me the newest catalog with a Canadian price sheet. If anyone needs a price just let me know the model number and I'll look it up.

Are Tudor's readily available in Canada?

Yes.
My (former) AD Here in RI has the identical watch to mine in the display case right now. It's used and I think he wants about $3,000.

That's good to know, I didn't know that. I was thinking they were only available direct from Switzerland.

$3,000 for Tiger Chrono? That is pretty tempting, I really need to see one of these puppies in the flesh.

Hey, been too busy lately.

I have a Tiger Tudor chrono, blue dial slightly darker blue subdials, white sub hands and a red chrono second hand (the big one, lol). I thought I had a couple old pics., must have been on my old laptop, oh well.

I bought off fleabay a couple years ago. It was before Mr. Woods crashed da Escalade. They were going very reasonably priced. I bid $1500 and won it for about $1200 w/box +papers. About a month later, I saw a red dial on red strap bid $1500 again and won again. I paid for it. The next day money was refunded with an e-mail apologising that he couldn't find the watch, lost track of it, and had to refund the money. I really believed he just was not willing to part with it for the low price, or was offered more (he had a brick and mortar)

As soon as Tiger was back in the news big, Tiger Tudor's shot to $1800 (overnite) and have been climbing since. I really considered getting a "big block" but it's never happened, for different reasons.

I do like it, and have considered a Tudor Heritage, but no, again different reasons.

Guaranteed this seller was not willing to part with the watch for the closing price. It is sellers like these on eBay that give eBay a bad reputation. If he wanted a minimum price for it, he should have set a reserve price.

I hope you left him negative feedback.
