Smile Smash Burger - Who's Been?

I'm having a craving for Smash Burger, it has been a while since i've had one of their delicious burgers.

How do you think they stack up to other burger joints?

I haven't been to one, but I think I saw one in Dallas/FW last week on my way to Louisiana. I'm glad you posted that because I almost wrenched my neck trying to see what it was, but I was driving too fast and it was just a blur.

I don't eat much red meat and just about the only burgers I eat, I cook myself out at my club's hangar on Saturdays, but I mostly eat chicken and fish.

I'd be willing to give it a try, though.

At first glance one might confuse the sign for "GameStop".... They look similar.

I am a plane jane kinda guy - meaning - I just eat the meat and the bun. No condiments or garnishing on my burger. These burgers are absolutely flavorful without adding anything to them.

Definitely give one a try when your travels allow, I think you will not be disappointed.

As long as it has bacon and fried onions, I'm there !

But I don't know if I've seen any in W. PA, but maybe Loxmyth has seen one. He gets around a lot more in his daily routine than I do.

I'm sure that's the sign I saw. I'm not sure why it caught my eye as I was blazing down TX-114, but it was probably because it was eyecatching and different from the signs one is familiar with in the homogenized Americana along the highways and byways of suburbia.

I'm definitely going to try to get one of those on my next trip. The big problem is that TX-114 is a total mess of construction and a nightmare to drive day or night. I'll be avoiding that route in the future, so I'll have to find an alternative location.

Aha!

Here's the one I saw. It's actually on Hwy 114 in Irving, which eventually turns into TX-114.

6. Irving
John Carpenter Freeway & N. MacArthur Blvd
975 W John Carpenter Freeway (West Highway 114)

Further research reveals that there's one in Shreveport and Bossier City, LA. I travel to Shreveport to visit my mother who's been ill of late and I stay at Barksdale AFB in Bossier. I've been known to treat myself to a Whataburger or two on my trips to Louisiana, so the next time, I might just take the family to SmashBurger.

I really like that name.

Cheech, they are all up in North Jersey unfortunately.. Could be good depending on where you are located within the state.

Don't know from Smash Burgers, but all this week I've been on a steady diet of one Wendy's 99-cent Double Stack per day. I have no imagination.

I like those as well. Can't beat the price. Never heard of the one Frankie mentions.

Man, you haven't lived 'till you try a Krystal burger, I love those things.

Nopey. No Texas. No Texas at all. Meet me in Tulsa, if you like. But no Texas. Texas is bad for my heart health.

Hey Randy! SmashBurger is one of my favorite burger joints. Can't compare to IN & OUT since I've never had.

What kind of error are you getting with posting pictures?

P.S. Great to see you aboard!

I'm sure there are locations headed your way Bill. Only a matter of time. I've seen them from coast to coast, now time to make way up the east coast.

The SmashBurger locations by me are just that. Burger joints. There are locations outside of New Jersey that happen to have a bar as well.
