Default The Fauconberg Arms Coxwold

Sunday Dinner spent at the Fauconberg Arms in the lovely village of Coxwold not far from where we live. (Remember Dinner for a Yorkshireman is what everyone else refers to as lunch)

Traditional Sunday Dinner, Carole had roast beef I had pork, both meals came with roast potatoes, veg and Yorkshire pudding, TBH, the Yorkshire pud is a deal breaker, no pud, no dinner.

http://www.fauconbergarms.com

Took a photo of the dining room before anyone got in.

Starter of Salmon.

Main Roast Pork, crackling and Yorkshire pudding and gravy, veg and spuds served separately.

With veg, spuds and apple sauce.

Carole showing off her TT DJ

Nice pub bar for drinks beforehand.

A couple having dinner in the bar by the fire.

Nice wood burning stove.

Hopefully I did OK with the photos and as Bill so eloquently put it "Jesters will sing my name" in the future. :

David, my excellent friend, yoo did a mahvelous job. I'm so glad I resolved this year for you to take pictures! Soon, Carole will be accustomed to this little ritual, and then we will determine that it's ok to keep her.

Carry on, wayward son.

As I know Carole hates the idea of pictures and cell phones at dinner I can only imagine it was a quiet meal and ride home.

You're welcome.

LOL

Sunday afternoon's normal activity didn't take place, and as far as I can tell she doesn't have a headache either.

Looks like I took one for the team fellas. (Or more accurately, I didn't take one)

Noblesse oblige, I'm afraid. A man's got to have his priorities straight. There is a whole legion of Yorkshiremen counting on you.

And, you can point out that your day's efforts resulted in an uptick in your "Thanks" count.

Looks like a very homey place, so warm and cozy, and quite relaxing.

Is she from Minsk?

(You'll have to read the 'Jokes' thread to understand.)

She may as well. She comes from Darlington which is in county Durham but we don't like to speak about that though.

Durham is North of Yorkshire so she is nearly a Geordie. (Jock with brain removed)

Ok I'm laughing out loud at this point and hoping to hell she never stumbles across this gem online.
