Default Holiday dinner...

I was actually invited to the company Holiday Dinner at Fogo de Chao's in downtown Mpls. The Rodentwoman went with me which qualified as "supervision" so I was allowed to use a knife and fork.

We had a few Caipirinhas and about 2 lbs of meat and sordid other delicacies.

I am proud of myself that I found the correct parking ramp and didn't get lost.

It was fun, which put me in an odd position since I hate fun. I DID wear the SD however.

As tough as he was he still had a soft spot and a bit of compassion deep down inside.

My photos? No cell phone and I'd get laughed at bringing a camera to the restaurant. There was, however, a couple sitting near us who spoke nary a word but had 2 phones to play with all evening.

Here's their site:

FWIW here's a photo of me in my natural habitar:

Doing an instant replay, upon further review, there really isn't anything special about this place. Yeah the décor is nice, the drinks strong and unique, the food of high quality, but it is nothing more than a nice salad bar and grilled meats. There is nothing prepared by a chef, no real "cooking," no artistry nor creativity in the fare.

Whaddaya want for $50, your money back? Still, at $29.50 the salad bar would be fine for me. I can eat enough smoked salmon to get my money's worth. I'd be obliged to bring an ounce or 2 home for the pussycats. It's their favorite.

It looks like a really nice place. I'm not much of a big dollar dinner guy either. I've had to watch my pennies all my life so that I equate money spent with tangibles. Booze and food are gone too quickly with nothing to show for it.
