Default In memorium, Older Style Visconti

Well... this was supposed to be Bizarro + Emporio Armani + the older Visconti
...but I had a little accident this morning and squashed the pen. Beyond repair.
The fortunate thing is I was wearing my clinic jacket that just happened to be black. The ink leaked, but it's not even visible.

Post-mortem: I just learned that this just happened to be a "Visconti For Rebecca Moss NY" Limited Edition and is/was considered a collectible.

Although I still don't think it was all that expensive.

Part of my ongoing obsession with metal matching, I worked up an interesting combo for the RJ, with Spektre shades and a 1937 Parker Vacumatic

Edit: according to the internet, the date code on my Parker indicates it was made in the 2nd quarter of 1940

Looks sweet!

The DSSD has been my daily wear for the last 4+ months. Maybe even longer.

Since my new job Iíve been wearing the ole Rangemaster most of the time.

Along with some DragonOptics sunglasses, my little .380, and Gerber automatic knife of course haha

Changed the battery to my safe yesterday, finally was able to swap my watch. The DSSD is in hibernation for right now while the Stratos gets some wrist time.

Even though my opinion of Zenith has suffered a bit of late, that Stratos is still a badass watch.

Ya'know, I'm not entirely thrilled with them either due to circumstances we've talked about. I think that is largely due in part to the brand not having wide exposure here in the US. It is overshadowed by the likes of Rolex and others.

The only difference between any of the luxury brands is marketing. Actually, that’s not limited to watches.

I keep the pen at work and use it all the time. The watch gets carried every couple of weeks or so. I keep it wound because sometimes at night I just like to listen to the ticking.

That is awesome, I'm happy to hear you keep it wound up. How loud is the ticking - do you have to hold it close or can you hear it from the night stand?

I could never sleep near it. If the house is perfectly quiet I can hear it from quite a ways away. It's relaxing but also distracting.

Ha, reminds me of some of the Timex quartz movements ( although I'm sure your watch is louder than that lol ).

I have a habit of wearing my watch to bed, and no matter what, I couldn't wear a Timex Quartz to bed. That damn tick would keep me up all night. Doc's Zenith you can hear over traffic noise with all the windows down LOL

The BIG Z is quite the ticker. I've had to stuff it in a sock drawer in order to bring some silence to the room.

Bizarro, wrapped around a 2nd gen SAA in .45LC (obviously a “shooter”, as evidenced by the drag line on the cylinder, plus the fact that I’m letting anything get close to it), with Colt blade, Carrera shades, and MB pen. Suitable accessorizing for the pistol-packing urbane redneck snob.

Ohhhhh that is a massive amount of badassery in one photo!

I've been itching to pick up a SAA shooter to appreciate shooting as it was back in the days of the wild wild west. Something different from the modern day semi-auto's. There's just so many damn options to choose from.

If you know what you're doing, a SAA can be just as fast firing off 6 rounds as any semi-auto, assuming you have two hands operating in sync. TBS, I don't really carry it; I usually go for a conventional SA/DA revolver. I also don't carry a knife, but if I did, it would be a full tang straight blade like that one. A folding may be convenient, but in defensive use it's mainly for slashing motions as opposed to thrusting.

I have no idea why I just made this post. Must be the time of year.

You would be a real desperado if you carried the SAA. I'm just a target since we are prohibited from carrying here in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey.

I have a variety of full tang straight blade and tanto knives. Never really had a folding.

Awesome pic Doc !!!!

What a classic piece. Never fired an old school SAA like that before. Must be sweet to shoot a .45LC

I think that picture wins the contest ( if we had one haha )

(Psst!...just between yoo and me, Mikey, I could do the same pic based on S & W or Glock with matching blades, but I don't want to set an irrevocable precedent. That would take all the fun out of the thread)
