Default Feeling a little ashamed

I think I lost my one and only MB. I was using it to sign checks in my office about 2 months ago. There was a major pile of papers scattered around on the desktop at that time, since I was preparing tax stuff. At first I didn't worry, thinking it would turn up immediately I ordered up my desk, but no. I'm now wondering if it may have made its way into the garbage can amidst all the chaos.

So....looks like I'm in the market. Any source suggestions ?

Ouch Doc! But now you get to pen shop at least. I've always found that The Fountain Pen Hospital to have the best prices and selection available.

Aside from FPH Montblanc has some killer sales throughout the year. I picked up at $1,200 writing instrument for $400.

Sorry to hear Doc

Will you replace it with another MB ?

If you are, I might have a suggestion for you

Yeah, I'm totally thinking MB. Would like a roller-ball and generally prefer the larger sized models like Frankie's LeGrand. Maybe RG or PT accents. The Mozarts are nice, and would generally fit my "image" (such as it is), but they're too tiny for me to take seriously as a mans man's writing instrument.

Of course, I could be wrong. Got a price quote on the Mozart rollerball = $845.

Maybe.

Will need to see in person.

I had one of those. I dropped it on a concrete floor and it cracked!

Using a MB George Bernard Shaw most of the time. Ball point. Being left handed, I smear most anything else.

My favorite store may still have some Bordeaux MB LeGrande pens. I have a mechanical pencil and Wendy has a rollerball and a ballpoint - one LeGrande and one regular. All three are the Bordeaux color.

I can't tell if the color really shows in this pic or not. If I remember tomorrow I'll try to get a pic in better lighting.

Bordeaux color would be OK, but from what I can see, they are no longer produced.

As for the pen David, go American, Bexley are a US made pen, I bought a limited edition one from classic fountain pens, Im sure Bexley must do fountain pens, but anyway a fine distinguished (older) gentleman such as yourself would look good with a fountain pen, it slows the world down to our pace.

Problem is, even though I'm not a southpaw like Doug, I still tend to smear ink if I use a fountain pen. Actually, even a rollerball is approaching danger level for me, but I just enjoy the feel of the gel ink.

Default UPDATE !! The Prodigal Pen returns

So I'm sitting here at my desk going through piles of parchment to discard, and look what came squirting out.

Seems to be writing OK, even though the tip was exposed the whole time. The benefit of ball point, I guess

I'm glad you found it. I would be freaking out if I lost my Montblanc.
That's one of the reasons I've retired my 165 pencil (for now).

Thanks Bill. It was only missing for 17 months, which gives you an idea of how often I clean up my desk.

If you like I'll hold onto it for you, keep it safe and even periodically update you on its status with pictures.
