Fine Writing Instruments The pen is mightier than the sword. Too bad so many people have forgotten how to wield a pen. Connect with others that haven't lost interest in the art of writing and fine writing instruments.

Default My New MB

Well, for those of you following the saga of the lost Meisterstuck, I wrestled around with the replacement selection for a few months.

So here is the final choice: the Starwalker RG Rollerball

(I have zero experience with pen photography, I need Frankie to coach me)

And a pic with the pen and the Montre. This really should look better as a photo.

I decided that the new piece will become part of my EDC accoutrements. This idea is blatantly copped from the capo.

Great pick up Doc! I've been itching to pick up one of the new RG LeGrand's. The platinum is my daily carry as you mentioned up above. However I think the RG would be a nice complement to my RG timepieces. The RG really pops off the black lacquer which makes an awesome combination.

Is this a ball point tip? My Skywalker is a felt tip, haven't quite gotten used to it so that is why my LeGrand platinum rollerball is my EDC.

Nope. Rollerball.

I think the felt tip fineliner is standard issue, and they swap out the fine liner tip/cartridge for the equivalent rollerball assembly. At least that's how this one was. This came from our friend Steve at Casa D'oro.

Personally, I don't care for the feel of a fineliner, and there are times when I have to write on NCR forms, where it would be useless.

Once the fineliner runs out I am going to make the switch to a RB. Then I'll get more use out of my Skywalker.

Doods, I never thought I'd say this , but I think I'm becoming a pen-o-phile. This baby makes writing out end-of-the-month invoice checks almost a pleasurable experience. Looks good with the RJ watch also.

I've been scoping out Montegrappas of late as well.

Good to see your liking your Starwalker ! The heft of that sucker alone should make for a nice, firm writing experience. Once you buy your first nice pen, it doesn't stop ! It's like watches. Very addicting !
