Ok - typed it all - or most of it again. Also, how come I have "exceeded" my allowance for uploading photos? How do I fix that please? I did warn you that I have "issues" with technology.....

That's weird. Sometimes I've seen posts that are over a certain number of words get kicked back, but I merely break them up into two sections . Getting timed out is almost always the result of forgetting to check the box when you log in.

One trick : if you really have a War and Peace - type post to submit, compose it on Word then paste it in.

I'll take a look at the thread length parameters and bump this up. Some of us could be hitting the artificial ceiling set.

Duh - did not realise that if I cleaned out my attachments, then all the photos would disappear from my recent posts. What am I doing wrong here? Can't find any help in the FAQ's.

I never use the "add attachment" button myself, for the very reason you just brought up. I use either a Photobucket account link or, more often, especially when I'm stealing a photo from another site, the "add image" button (second from right in the quick reply window)

Only with the photos. I guess I need to take Doc's advice and use Photobucket or something similar.
