He was a guest from the army cadets Mark, I reckon that he picked up that knife to take a look and put it down wrong, shame I never noticed when I was taking the photo, I would have given him a "look". It was set up in the hall at Coulby.

Not the "look"?!? makes my blood run cold just thinking about it!

I've never had anything to do with the cadets but I remember seeing a rather rotund kid who looked about 14 covered in that many stripes and crowns and lions rampant that I nearly threw one up to him!!!

Unfortunately not ATM David, there was one of the whole proceedings before the dinner started, will have to see if it is delivered to us electronically. I never thought to take any of us.

Here's another.

He seems to be fiddling with it in your second pic (while appearing to be distracted by the décolletage of the lady opposite!?!)

What did they feed you and did it get untidy by the end of the night?

What did they feed you and did it get untidy by the end of the night?
Starter:

Fried Camembert or leek and Potato soup.

Main:

Beef Wellington or Chicken.

Sweet:

Eton Mess or Cheese cake.

Lots and lots of port.

Cheese and biscuits.

Tea or coffee.

After eight mints.

It was rather un English at the end of the night because no fights broke out.

Although when I woke up this morning I think that someone must have repeatedly hit my head with a family saloon.

That'll be those damn After Eights! Every time I drink a bottle or two of Port and eat an After Eight I'm frightened to open my eyes in the morning incase I bleed to death!

But you know what they say, "claret is a drink for boys, port for men..."

The meal sounds good, though.

Experience was on my side, one of the decanters (The fullest one) strangely ended up next to my chair leg for later use.
