Default Help identify this paw...

Guy on another forum, lives in VT, came across this in the woods. He says there are black pads on the underside, the claws are not retractable, and the toes are semi-webbed. G23 is for size comparison.

Any outdoorsy types got a clue as to the ID ?

I thought maybe a Wolverine hind paw. Another guy thinks maybe a beaver, but their rear paws are fully webbed and their front paws aren't webbed at all.

Naw, we decided it's a beaver hind paw. The webbing has dried out and shriveled up a bit. Probably got caught in a trap.

Beaver.

Here's the underside showing the pad. This second pic wasn't posted right away, or I would have got it. As you can see, there is full webbing, but it's starting to shrivel up. This is what threw me off, from the top view.
