Default New storm....

I see another storm heading up the east coast. Hope everyone stays well and out of the elements.

We get plenty of snow and cold here, having 41 nights this winter with below 0 temps. But we have plows and equipment to handle it.

I know some cities don't.

Anyway, take care.

Thanks. Shouldn't be too bad here in RI. They're forecasting 3-6 and 6-12 inches depending on how far inland you are. I'm less than 1/2 mile from the bay so my forecast could be anywhere from 3-12 with rain following.

I've been in MN since 1979 and cannot recall any winter with as much protracted cold as this year. We usually have temps more or less normal with several days of real cold every couple of weeks. This is different. But we are supposed to get over freezing the end of this week and most of next week too!

In PA, it could easily be in the 60's next week.

We'll see the 60's in May, maybe.

One of the reasons our roads are so crappy in PA has to do with the rapid thermal cycling that happens here.

I'm so tired of this crazy winter weather we have been having here in North East. I love winter and the snow, it is truly a beautiful season, but the unnecessary havoc that it causes is what makes me hate the season. People panic because they think the world is coming to an end, and the media hypes the hell out of these storms which doesn't help the least bit.

snow?

hadn't noticed.

I noticed, just today, the farmer's field south of my subdivision must have 5 foot deep snow. Impressive for this area.

It takes a lot of snow to stop stuff here. The gov cordered schools closed when the wind chill was about -30 but we really haven't had a big snowstorm. Greatest storm total was about 6" which isn't much for us.

As long as I can get to the gunshops and the range, let it snow. I'm going again tomorrow with the new 44 and MAYBE a new buy this PM depending on the deail.

Stay tooned.
