Default I do like a GMT Master too.

Ah my favorite.
I've never understood the diver obsession. Give me GMT anytime.

Love em all ! Which is your favorite ? If I were to get a GMT tomorrow, I'd choose the batman.

One must dive to know what the obsession is all about. Sadly a majority of the masses are just along for the ride without a clue.

The DSSD is my daily wear. And I switch it up from time to time with the GMT.

I'm definitely not a diver.
My Seiko Monster is a dive watch. I really can't say that I ever use the bezel. The depth rating of my GMT is 200 meters. A Submariner is 300. Believe me if my body is ever 200 meters down or more, wristwatch depth rating is the least of my problems.
That said, tracking another time zone or the use of a bi-directional bezel are definitely features worth having.
Now that's not to say I wouldn't want a Submariner, especially in blue/two tone or Serti dial flavors. In fact I very much like the good old fashioned Sea Dweller (sans cyclops) and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms in all its varieties. Oh hell if I could I'd have them all. But with money so tight I dare only lust after the practical and to me the GMT is simply the most practical Rolex.
I'm wearing mine now .

I've worn my GMTs in the rain without any mishaps.

Out of all the watches I've collected over the years, I've never had a GMT or a chronograph. I was always a dive watch kinda guy. My next Rolex will be a GMT Batman however.
